(Dublin Live) – A family has spoken of the “miracle” survival of a teenager following a car crash which left him with a severe brain injury. Cohen Gareis had just turned 17 when he was so seriously injured in a crash last June that it was feared he might not survive.
He was unresponsive for months after a car in which he was a passenger hit a wall on Thick Hollins Road, Meltham, UK and and rolled over several times. Five people in the car were taken to hospital, with two badly injured.
The Huddersfield teen was unresponsive for months but has since woken up and is making progress in his recovery, reports Yorkshire Live. Cohen’s mum, Stevie, said Cohen had been a back seat passenger and had taken the “full force” of the impact. “Luckily he was wearing his seat belt or it would have been a fatality for sure.” CONTINUE
