(nwaonline) – Shelby Shambles received a call about 3:30 p.m. Jan. 29 for which she couldn’t prepare. A nurse at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Mo., informed her that her husband, Tylor Shambles, had been life-flighted to the hospital after being injured in a collision.
Shelby, 26, said a vehicle had hit her husband of five years as he was heading to their Bella Vista home by motorcycle. The collision occurred in Grove, Okla., she said. “I called my mom,” she said Wednesday. “I was like, ‘Mom, I don’t know how to process this,’ and she kept trying to get me to have someone go with me.
The nurse was trying to get me to have someone go with me, but all I could remember is, ‘How can I get there quicker?’ I was feeling every emotion possible.” CONTINUE
