(Cleveland Clinic) – In March 2023, Keith Skinner’s life changed instantaneously when he was hit by a car while crossing the road. The accident left him with a traumatic brain injury that has forever altered his life.
After a three-month acute inpatient stay at King’s College Hospital, where he was mostly bedbound, he spent another six months in Orpington Hospital’s inpatient neuro-rehabilitation unit where he relearned how to walk, talk and do things like dress and bathe himself.
“It’s like I was a baby again,” Keith says. “I was paralyzed in some areas—It took me four to five months just to start regaining function.” CONTINUE
