(MedCentral) – For decades, primary care physicians have lacked consistent guidance about how to manage patients recovering from traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Now, a new guideline aims to change that by standardizing care practices for adult outpatients – outlining how physicians can improve management, follow-up, and recovery for those dealing with this life-changing condition.
The guideline, published in late 2025 in Annals of Family Medicine, was developed by the Action Collaborative on TBI Care, an initiative under the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). CONTINUE
