(WCSC) — What was supposed to be a week of celebrating one of his oldest friends nearly ended in tragedy. Instead, 28-year-old Jack Rogers is calling it a second chance at life. In April, Rogers traveled to the Dominican Republic for his childhood friend Peyton’s bachelor party.
After a night of drinking, the group was heading back to their resort on golf carts when everything changed in an instant. “We were taking the golf carts back from the bars roughly around 12:00 midnight to 1:00 a.m.,” Rogers recalled.
“One of the golf carts almost flipped. I bailed and that’s when I had my accident. So I hit my head as I fell on the pavement.” Rogers has little memory after that. “I remember thinking I really did it this time,” he said. CONTINUE
