(The Oakland Press) – An Oakland County judge has ordered Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak to not disconnect life support for a teenager that doctors say is brain dead, in accordance with his mother’s wishes.
On Monday morning, Judge Hala Jarbou of Oakland County Circuit Court granted a temporary restraining order to keep Titus Germain Cromer, Jr., 16, on life support for now, filed on his behalf by his mother LaShauna Lowery of Lathrup Village.
A second hearing is scheduled for Nov. 7, where Jarbou is expected to be presented with medical records and testimony from medical personnel, and then rule on whether to extend the restraining order or give Beaumont Hospital the authority to stop treatment. CONTINUE
