(HullLive) – A teenager who was nearly killed in a motorcycle accident has made a “miraculous” recovery after completing the National Three Peaks Challenge.
In September last year, Lewis Foster, 18, was left fighting for his life when a car driving at 50mph hit his motorcycle on the A1035 near Catwick Lane.
The road was closed for several hours and Lewis was put into a coma at the roadside before he was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.
His horrific injuries included breaking his pelvis in four places as well as suffering a laceration to his liver, a ruptured and dislodged bladder, a broken arm in two places, a fractured skull and a traumatic brain injury.
Doctors gave him a 35 per cent chance of survival. CONTINUE
