(RTE) – An Irish man who was assaulted in Perth, Western Australia last month has emerged from a coma after suffering a brain haemorrhage. However, Frank Staples remains unresponsive in hospital.
The 41-year-old, from Wexford, was knocked to the ground after being punched in the side of the head outside a McDonald’s restaurant on 24 July. His family travelled to be at his bedside after the attack.
Speaking on RTÉ’s News At One programme, Frank’s father Jim said his son was living in Perth when the incident happened, but before that he had been living in Sydney. CONTINUE
