
(Houston Chronicle) – Walker Hicks struggled to step onto a small platform, his squinted eyes fixed on the target: a row of ping pong balls fastened to the top of a body-length mirror.
The 2-year-old had spent months doing similar exercises at the Pediatric Therapy Center in southwest Houston.
On this day, Nov. 2, he stretched out his tiny right arm to grab one of the balls, but the sock that covered his hand prevented him from gripping it. Frustrated, he tried again with the right hand. And again. CONTINUE
