Mum Talks Talks About Her Son’s Brain Injury and Rehabilitation at the Children’s Trust Centre


(Suffolks News) – A seven-year-old boy who suffered a rare brain injury has made ‘incredible progress’ on his rehabilitation journey. Hubert Baber, a South Lee Prep School pupil from near Bury St Edmunds, suddenly became ill overnight in October 2022.

Parents Sarah and Barney later found out he had an AVM (arteriovenous malformation), which is like a tangle of blood vessels in the brain.

Sarah said that Hubert, who was six at the time, would have been born with this and although they would never have known, it was described as ‘a ticking time bomb’. CONTINUE
