
(By Sandi Enzminger and Sheryl Crosier / Simons Kids) – Meet Tabitha Enzminger, a five-year-old Idaho girl living in thriving with Trisomy 18 (a.k.a. Edwards syndrome). Tabatha was a successful breech delivered at 39.5 weeks gestation (to a 43-year-old mother of five), with minimal oxygen support for decreased heart rate.
Born weighing 4 pounds 2.3 ounces and measuring 17 inches, she was discharged home after less than 48 hours in NICU. Within two weeks of birth, a BLOOD TEST confirmed suspicions of genetic abnormality known as Trisomy 18 and an official Cardiology exam identified previously undetected heart defects. CONTINUE
