(WNCN) — A Wake Forest teen is a walking miracle. John Walter suffered a traumatic brain injury a little over a week after graduating high school in June, and now things are turning around.
These days, the Walter family is trying to get back to a sense of normalcy. And that includes John cheering on his little brother Charlie’s soccer team at Wakefield High. “It is amazing to see him in the stands. It lightens up everything,” said Charlie Walter, John’s brother.
Just days after John graduated from high school in June, he suffered a traumatic brain injury after falling off a pick-up truck. “It has been a journey for sure,” said John’s father, Rob Walter. CONTINUE
