Idaho Wildland Firefighter Begins Speaking Again After Brain Injury


(CBS2) — An Idaho wildland firefighter who suffered a traumatic brain injury while fighting a fire last year has reached a significant milestone on his journey to recovery, he is speaking again.

26-year-old Justin “Riley” Shaw was fighting fire in central Idaho when a tree fell on him, causing a traumatic brain injury. CBS2 has reported previously on his injury, the GoFundMe established to support Riley, and his progress since the injury. CONTINUE
