This year marks the 20th anniversary of Terri Schiavo’s court-ordered death by dehydration. On March 18, 2005, Florida Judge George W. Greer ordered the removal of Terri’s feeding tube, leading to her agonizing death by starvation and dehydration for more than 13 days.
For each of those thirteen days, the Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network will commemorate the final, horrific days of Terri’s inhumane death. This remembrance serves not only to honor Terri but also to raise awareness of the countless individuals currently experiencing slow, tragic deaths in hospices, nursing homes, and hospitals across America and around the world.
Viewing Videotape, Senator Frist Disputes Doctors’ Diagnosis of Schiavo

(Washington Post) – Bill Frist (R-Tenn.), a renowned heart surgeon before becoming Senate majority leader, went to the floor late Thursday night for the second time in 12 hours to argue that Florida doctors had erred in saying Terri Schiavo is in a “persistent vegetative state.”
“I question it based on a review of the video footage which I spent an hour or so looking at last night in my office,” he said in a lengthy speech in which he quoted medical texts and standards. “She certainly seems to respond to visual stimuli.” CONTINUE
