Dairy Farmer Recovering From Brain Injury Sustained in Car Crash


(Farmers Forum) — The Ottawa Valley farming community is rallying around Kyle Rivington, a Carp-area dairy farmer and married father of two young children who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a June 19 car crash along Highway 417.

Rivington, an active cow show judge who also serves as his local fair board president, was involved in a two-vehicle collision around noon at the Nicholas Street off-ramp. The Ottawa Citizen reported that one vehicle rear-ended another, causing objects in the rear of the first vehicle to strike the driver. The vehicle also struck a guardrail. CONTINUE
