(KARE/CNN Newsource/WKRC) – A 9-year-old miraculously survived after an arrow pierced deep into his brain, with the child pulling the sharp object out himself and making an impressive recovery.
Gus Deterding, 9, was helping his family by loading up his father’s car with various items on a cold March day, during which the driveway was icy and slick. One of the items that Gus was carrying was a children’s bow and arrow.
At some point, Gus slipped on the ice while holding the arrow in his armpit, and it pierced his skull and entered deep into his brain. Immediately, without any help, Gus pulled the arrow out of his head. CONTINUE
