‘Fight Like A Cowgirl’: Teen Makes Remarkable Recovery After Brain Injury


(WALB) – Taylor Sutton always loved animals and learning about their care, but in 2021, she found her passion in showing livestock. She started out with rabbits, chickens, and goats.

“Dad said no more animals at home, so they built this barn, and it was kind of like, he said no more at the house, so,” Taylor said. On Jan. 30, 2023, Taylor’s life would change forever when her heart stopped for more than 40 minutes, resulting in a massive anoxic brain injury.

After spending only one month in the ICU, Taylor was transferred to Inpatient Rehab, where she relearned everything: walking, talking, eating, and sight. She proudly went into the ring with her mentor at the Georgia National Fair in October 2023. CONTINUE
