Family From Knoxville Grateful for Young Son’s Recovery After Tornado Injury


(WBIR) – A Knoxville family says they’re especially thankful this holiday season as their 9-year-old son continues to recover from a traumatic brain injury he suffered during an EF-2 tornado last spring.

The White family was driving to Missouri in April when a severe storm swept through Paducah, Kentucky. Their car was hit by the tornado, leaving young Bentley with a serious head injury.

Months later, he is walking, laughing and finally home from the hospital, and Paisley White is back to goofing off with her little brother. “I think he thinks I’m funny now,” she said. Bentley’s parents said the progress he’s made is encouraging. CONTINUE
