Brain Injury Survivor, Leading Category in Mr. Health and Fitness Competition


(CFJC Today) – Rory Young of Kamloops is jacked to be an inspiration for brain injury survivors and anyone chasing fitness goals. “I’ve come a long way,” Young said. “When I woke up, I didn’t know how to walk.”

Young, 34, is a contestant in the Mr. Health and Fitness Competition, the winner of which will receive $20,000 and a feature in Muscle and Fitness Magazine.

He was well on his way to becoming a firefighter when his life changed on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017. Young said he was driving home from a shift working on a tugboat on Adams Lake when his vehicle hit a patch of black ice.

“I crossed the centre line and stalled perpendicular to oncoming traffic,” Young said, noting his car was hit by an F150. CONTINUE
