Doctors Warn Against Overlooking ‘Invisible’ Head Injuries


(FMT) – A person involved in a road accident may appear perfectly fine afterwards – alert, talking normally and showing no visible injuries. But when the head is involved, doctors warn that serious complications can still develop hours later.

Few injuries worry doctors more after a road accident than trauma involving the head, whether it is a mild concussion or something far more serious.

According to consultant emergency physician Dr Cyrus Lai, road traffic accidents remain among the leading causes of traumatic brain injury in Malaysia and around the world. CONTINUE
