(JFeed) – The X2 roller coaster at a California amusement park has been shut down following two separate incidents in which women lost consciousness and required emergency brain surgery within a six-day span. The serious cases, which occurred this month, prompted a safety investigation and renewed scrutiny of one of the park’s most extreme attractions.
The first incident took place on July 5, when 40-year-old Pamela Gwillen rode the attraction during a family visit to the park. After the ride ended, she lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital. Medical staff discovered she was suffering from severe subdural bleeding and pressure on the brain, requiring immediate emergency surgery. CONTINUE
