(Huntsville Real-Time News) – The mother of a Belgreen High School football player injured in a Wednesday evening car crash provided updates on her son’s critical condition at Huntsville Hospital.
Carter Raney sustained a diffuse axonal injury from the accident, a type of traumatic brain injury caused by significant movement of the brain inside the skull, according to his mother Ashleigh Raney’s Facebook post Saturday.
He remains in the surgical intensive care unit where he is medically paralyzed with ventilator settings maximized to allow his body to rest and heal, Raney’s post says. CONTINUE
