Luke Bohnenberger on Rebuilding Life After a Traumatic Brain Injury


(Being Patient) – In 2015, Luke Bohnenberger sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in a car crash. He spent days on life support and two weeks in a coma, underwent multiple brain surgeries, and had to relearn how to walk and talk.

But some of the most difficult changes came after leaving the hospital, as the injury affected his emotions, behavior, and sense of self. Over time, Bohnenberger’s experience sparked a deeper interest in understanding how the brain shapes the way people think, feel, react, and experience the world. CONTINUE
