(The Oakland Press) – Attorneys representing two sides of a contested life support case continue to work with a federal judge in their efforts to resolve disagreement on what the next medical steps should be for a Lathrup Village teenager, Titus Cromer.
Titus, 16, has been in Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak since Oct. 17 after an undisclosed event left his brain deprived of blood and oxygen.
He was declared dead one week later, but his family and some medical professionals disagree with Beaumont doctors — and want his care to continue and certain procedures performed to prepare him for transfer to another facility.
Titus’ mother, Lashauna Lowry, brought the case to Oakland County Circuit Court late last month, and it subsequently landed in federal court in Detroit before Magistrate Judge Michael Hluchaniuk. CONTINUE
