Survivor of Traumatic Brain Injury Shares Message of Hope

(Express Health Management) – Ben Bourne, a man from Hythe, Hampshire, who survived a traumatic brain injury after falling from a second-story window, is encouraging others with similar injuries to never lose hope.

In July 2019, Bourne fell 20ft (6m) from a building after mistaking a window for a door while under the influence of alcohol and suffering from heatstroke. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was placed in an induced coma.

Bourne, who struggled to form sentences for months after the accident, is now speaking out about his recovery to inspire others. Although the circumstances surrounding the accident remain unknown, Bourne believes he confused the window for a door and attempted to walk through it. CONTINUE
