‘It’s Alarming’: Could Concussions Lead to Increased Risks of Brain Cancer?


(WCHS) — New research out of Jama Network revealed breakthrough research on the correlation between veteran service members with traumatic brain injury and their increased risk for developing brain cancer.

Dr. Ian Stewart said veterans with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury had a 90% increase in their risk of brain cancer.

Glioblastoma is the most common and deadly brain cancer. According to the National Library of Medicine, the average survival rate is 14 months. CONTINUE
