Boxer Prichard Colón Dies 11 Years After Sustaining Life-Changing Brain Injury


(Sporting Tribune) – Former Puerto Rican boxer, Prichard Colon, has died at the age of 33, nearly 11 years after suffering a severe brain injury during a professional fight against Terrel Williams.

Colon’s father, Richard Colon, confirmed his son’s death in a Facebook post on Thursday, August 13, 2026, thanking supporters for their prayers and support over the years. “Good morning, my people. I regret to inform you of the departure of my son Prichard from this earthly world,” Richard wrote.

“Now he is in a better world. I did everything possible to fulfil his wish, his dream of bringing him on vacation to Puerto Rico as he so desired, but it couldn’t be done. CONTINUE
